23:08 Dec 12 2012 Mexico

Description
Google has created the “Endangered Languages Project” which is an online space for people speaking endangered languages and also for people who want to preserve them. In this page people are allowed to upload videos, audio, documents and share knowledge and experiences. This initiative is backed by the Alliance for Linguistic Diversity.
The page already contains documents from 3,170 endangered languages which are being connected through social media and making the learning of a language easier.
In Mèxico, an endangered language called "Otomí" is available in the website and they uploaded some videos showing their traditions.
